Warm, supportive and transformative. Relationship-based coaching for caregivers and specialised playgroups for infants and toddlers.
Coaching for Individuals and Families
We want the best for our children, yet parenting today can be bewildering. Most of us live within unsupportive societal structures, and we’re inundated with conflicting advice and expectations to keep all the balls in the air at once. Every child is unique, every family constellation is different and there’s no map for navigating it all.
As a coach and counsellor, I will meet you wherever you are and help you find more confidence, fulfilment, resilience, joy and ease. Together, we'll identify what you want and where you are challenged.
I believe that the quality of the connection between a child and their parents and caregivers is the foundation on which children are able to build an understanding of themselves, how they relate to others and how they are able to experience the world.
Caregiving is messy and full of variables, and perfection is never the goal. However, intention matters. I support families in their process of creating more intentional relationships with their children. I do this by listening wholeheartedly and sharing evidence-based resources. My approach is grounded in the principles of infant mental health, early childhood development and education, dance movement psychotherapy and the caregiving principles of RIE® and Pikler®.
By starting with our most fundamental relationships, I believe the care we give can radiate outwards. Together, we can create more conscious and connected families, homes and communities.

During one-on-one sessions, we'll meet by phone or video weekly or bi-weekly. We can address specific problems, talk about your parenting experience more generally, or any combination that works for you.
I will listen wholeheartedly, ask questions that clarify a path forward and share evidence-based resources.
I’ll meet you where you are and support you and your child as you grow together.

Amber as a baby and her big sister Margot
Here’s what to expect:
After a brief check-in (which you’re always welcome to skip) adults quietly observe as babies explore developmentally appropriate and safe play objects. We practice minimal intervention unless we are needed for safety or support (we always attune and respond to our child’s cues around hunger, tiredness, nappy changes, or emotional refueling). We discuss whatever comes up for us.
The space is beautifully designed and the pace is intentionally slow, peaceful, and supportive. Expect to see your child “with new eyes,” as Magda Gerber, Founding Director of RIE®, once prompted.
When choosing a group, please consider nap schedules, social, and cognitive development, as well as general mobility. If you have questions or requests, please reach out!
Spring 2025 infant groups are now forming!
“It really is a gift and service to families and communities to gather at Amber’s groups. She holds such a depth of research and knowledge on parenting and child development. With an open mind and release of expectations, anyone would benefit from Amber’s classes.”

Embodied Parenting: Creative Movement and Dyadic Bonding
In this dance wellness class based on the work of Dr. Suzi Tortora, you will learn how to read your baby and young child’s nonverbal cues, supporting their emotional and social development. The activities you will learn in class are based on the rich and growing body of research from the fields of neuroscience, infant development and psychology that demonstrate how babies do best when they have the opportunity to freely explore their world through active, physical, live, caring relationships. You will explore the specifics of your nonverbal relationship to discover the unique nonverbal signals that you and your child have created to communicate and bond.

Spill the Milk, Make a Toy
If you have a new baby and want to gather in a supportive and beautiful space to craft and process all the big changes, this is the class for you. I’ve partnered with Abney Park and the superlative Caroline Reid, NHS lactation consultant, IBCLC and NCT & BfN infant feeding supporter and Hackney mum. Together, we’ll discuss motherhood, routines, milk, play, and other topics. We’ll practice enabling our babies to freely play, move and explore, all while meeting others in a warm and nurturing environment.
